Tualatin Police Department 2023 Update

Tualatin Police Department (TPD) staff works to maintain a safe community and strives to serve each Tualatin resident in a way that meet their needs.

We have now fully implemented a body-worn camera system, have introduced updated Tasers for officers and are constantly looking for ways to increase transparency and ensure trust between the Community and the TPD.

The department actively recruits and hires personnel to bring the TPD back to full staffing.  We provide open-house events for the public and for city staff to reconnect, engage, and educate the community about the department and its staff.

The City of Tualatin is focused on ensuring wellness for department personnel, as well and other City Staff.  Most recently this included an event delivered by Sigma Tactical Wellness that conducted enhanced health and cardiac screening.
